Senior Analog Circuit Designer
Spectra7 has openings for circuit design professionals who are highly motivated and have a passion for excellence and innovation to work on the design, development and testing of the Company’s high speed analog chips. The ideal candidate is highly accountable with a natural inclination for problem solving and the ability to work well within a fast paced, team environment. This position reports to the CTO/Vice President of Engineering and openings are located in Palo Alto, CA, Atlanta, GA and Markham, Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities
- Design of 10+Gbaud equalizers in 28-40nm CMOS
- Simulation ranging from the block to top level including PVT corners, mismatch, and various stress patterns and channels.
- Lab characterization of their designs.
- Drafting block specifications and design of reference circuits.
- Work closely with frontend RTL design and analog design teams to ensure successful tape outs.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Education
Education: MSEE
Work Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in multi-Gb/s analog circuit designs
- Experience in designing multi-Gb/s equalizers in CMOS processes 90nm or smaller
- Lab experience characterizing and debugging EQs
- Experience with PHY level design in protocols such as PCI Express, Infiniband, Ethernet, SAS, SATA, V-by-One, DisplayPort, or HDMI
- Experience with DFEs
Work Habits, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Implementation of adaptive EQ control loops
- Design of PLLs and CDRs
- Excellent teamwork, communication, problem solving and scripting abilities
- Successful record of delivering products to production
